Critic's Review

First things first, I'd never had Little Caesar's pizza before in my life. I've also never had Papa John's. Today I checked off this place on my bucket list.

I wanted to try the "Detroit" style pizza, and also the Italian cheese bread, On Sundays there's a 15% off promotion which likely ends after the Super. Bowl. You can order online or on your phone.

They have a pay in the store option but I recommend that you pay in advance. The girl at the counter seems overmatched with people coming in. and the tiny space is a bit chaotic with people waiting and picking stuff up.

Little Caesars Flamingo Inside

There's no dine-in option here.

I arrived early (also a mistake) as waiting here is not comfortable. No seating. One thing is that my food was hot out of the oven.

I live nearby so I expected the pizza to be piping hot, but it wasn't. It was luke warm; I wonder if it was sitting in the back for a while?

Little Caesars Italian Bread

The Italian cheese bread is nothing more than a thick crust pizza with no sauce. It has a micro thin layer of cheese and herbs on top. The cheese is so stingy that you can barely tell it's there at all. You could probably slap some garlic butter on this and it wouldn't be bad, but it's certainly not worth $5.99.

The Pizza isn't really Detroit style; they just starting calling their pan pizza this a few years ago.

Little Caesars Detroit Pizza

The pizza didn't look bad, but it was short on both sauce and cheese. Too much bread and not enough good stuff.

Little Caesars Detroit Slice Close

The sausage half was junk; don't get the sausage. The pepperoni was nice and crispy and the edges did have that pan pizza taste, but there just wasn't enough sauce and cheese on this for me to ignore the calories. I threw 2/3 of this food in the garbage and made myself a meatball sub.

Conclusion

The problem with this place is that this pizza isn'a as good as most frozen pizzas you can buy in the supermarket for a lower price. During the pandemic I did a series of taste tests on supermarket pizzas. Digiorno pan pizza is way better than what I got here today.
