Description

Pizza Rock is a popular Celebrity Chef chain Pizzeria in downtown Las Vegas. Absurdly expensive, some of the food here looks very good, although the preparation is inconsistent.

A 13" pepperoni pizza is $19.95.

They use the cup pepperoni here, so if you like it crispy and greasy this is your place. For a "Build Your Own" they charge $3 for Vegetables and $4 for meats, so a 2 item 13" pizza is $23.95.

The Americano has a lot of stuff on it. $27 for a 13" pie. We won't be trying it.

The so-called New Yorker pizza. 12" and $29.50. Totally ridiculous.

I lived in NY for 40 years and never even saw a pizza that was made this way. Notice the inconsistency as well:

Detriot style has too much sauce for my taste. Another smallish pizza for $29.

Sicliian slice for $6.50. Looks good but at strip prices. I''ve noticed that they often serve overcooked pizza; in NY They throw it out if they burn it and make you another one.

The meatballs are also way too saucy; I appreciate the volume but I'd prefer a dollop of ricotta to 3 extra scoops of sauce.

We'll be trying this place someday...
