Strip Location Review 5/21/21
If you're from the East Coast, you've only heard about In-n-Out Burger. You've heard how great it is. Las Vegas is an opportunity to try it for yourself. This location is in the heart of center strip and you'll have to wait on line if you want a burger, even at 3:30pm. It's pretty much like this all day long.
Adding insult to injury, they've closed the seating, using the "'pandemic" as a reason to not have to clean their dining room. There's also no outdoor seating, so there are people eating burgers all over the place. Sitting at fountains. Sitting on the ground. Everywhere.
The line moves pretty quickly as they're pretty efficient. You get a number when you order; you just wait until they call it.
I ordered a double-double with grilled onions and well done fries with cheese.
Everything costs more in Las Vegas. Everything.
Also pretty efficient, but if you order something basic you get it faster. People behind me on line got their orders before me.
I wasn't sitting on a curb; it was a 10 minute walk back to my hotel. The burger was still hot and I couldn't wait to dig in.
The cheese on the fries, however, was hopelessly coagulated. As I was in a hotel room I didn't have a way to melt the cheese; shower steam barely hits 110 degrees which is only enough to make the fries soggy. Nothing remarkable about the fries or the cheese; if these are well done I wouldn't recommend anything less that this; these weren't very well done.
Shake Shack cheese fries blow the doors off of these. The burger itself was good; I'd say very good, but not life-changing. I'd say it's no better than 5 guys (which is more expensive), better than burgerFi and on par with Shake Shack.
I ate the whole thing, which if you know me is no small thing.
Conclusion
So I can check In-N-Out off my bucket list and this is what I think: If you're in a town that has one in the area, give it a try. But there was really nothing great about it. It was a pretty good burger with pedestrian fries. No reason to go way out of your way for it.3804 E Flamingo Review 8/19/22
Way too much iceberg lettuce. The meat looked very well done and very thin.
