Pre pandemic, this was one of my favorite places. Standing room only, dueling pianos and generally pretty good music. They started charging a cover charge, which angered locals who enjoyed stopping by here for a drink.

I don't think being inside is worth the $25 they wanted for a table. That's not a minimum; that's a cover charge. I went to concerts for less than that back in the day. Totally ridiculous.

I got a beer at the outside bar; the servers are VERY slow. Not really serving anyone but it took a while to get a beer. The main guy was too busy with his bar tasks to serve me.

You don't have to worry about tipping from the outside, but you can see and hear them just as well.

My advice is to get yourself a $9 beer and some food and you can enjoy the music from outside the venue, sans cover charge.
