Critic's Review
The Encore is a very elegant hotel and has one of the better bars on the strip in terms of entertainment and people watching. The bar scene is interesting as it's a pretty high turnover; most people just stop in for a drink. Not like those places where the same people sit at the bar all night.
The good news is they have Corona Light for you calorie conscious people. Tha bad news is it's $10.84 for a bottle.
For Entertainment, they have dueling pianos, which seems to be the trend in entertainment on the strip due to the success of the original New York, New York venue.
There's a lounge were you can sit; but you don't have to go into the lounge to enjoy the music. An adorable hostess herds the drunk people into tables.
On this night, one of the players was a very good singer while the other; not so much. I guess finding people who can both play the piano and sing well isn't that easy,, particularly when there are so many places needing them.
The bar is located between the main entrance and the walkway to The Wynn, which is also where the XS night club is, so there's a steady stream of people walking by the bar in both directions.
Lots of women in club gear hanging around.
The service here is horrific, some of the slowest least aware bartenders I've encountered in this city so far.
