I've never been to one of these places before; if you sign up for their rewards program they give you a free chili dog, so today was my day to try it out.This place is more of a drive through kind of place, but I needed to show the guy an email to get the free hot dog, so I went inside.
Wienerschnitzel inside
"I'm here for a free Chili Dog". The guy looks at my phone and 5 minutes later he hands me a bag.
I didn't want to open a chili dog in the car, so I waited until I got home. Imagine my horror as I unwrapped it.
Wienerschnitzel Hot Dog
This is a sad excuse for chili; runny, not much. Doesn't look much like the pictures. I'm not sure I've ever had chili on a hot dog without cheese; I took a bite. The chili has potential, but there was nothing other than liquid that had soaked into a bun here.
The hot dog was an obvious fail; but these are franchises, so it could just be a bad operator. Or maybe a bad batch of chili. I may try to get another free one at another location.
Conclusion
This was a really bad chili dog; I would never pay for this. Maybe I'll try a Kraut dog some day, but Sonic is my likely next try on a Chili dog.
