Dating Site Reviews
The thing with dating sites is that there are so many to chhoose from, and the vast majority of them aren't real. Fake profiles, chat bots, scammers and such have taken over the industry, and there are only a few left. The Match Group keeps goggling up their competition; they own Match.com, Tinder, Hinge, POF and a bunch of others. So your choices are limited. Also, these sites will varg from location to location. I joined a bunch of sites and found like some like Match.com have very fiew active people in Las Vegas. You'll also have more scammers and more tourists in places like Las Vegas, so the experience may be much different in other places.
Something to note. They all try to sell the concept of "verification", but be aware that the fine print says that you agree to let them own your biometric data, which means they can do whatever they want with it. If you want the Match Group to own your date and maybe sell it to who knows who; be my guest. But they don't verify that you look like your pictures of if you've gained 20 lbs or if you're 10 years older. So it's not as useful as some people think.
Match.com
Very ExpensiveBack in the day, y ou could view all of the profiles and even read messages for free.
Can't see much for free
Requires a Cell Phone Number with Major Carrier
Cumbersome Sign Up
No Filtered Searches without Paying
I've personally had bad experiences with Match.com so I doubt I'd ever consider using it unless some perfect match came along that I was sure I could get in contact with. Before we all had cell phones, they used unscrupulous methods to keep people from actually making contact. For example everyone used to be able to read messages, but had to pay to send. So you'd send someone your email thinking they'd be able to contact you off site. But Match would transform the email so that they'd have to pay to contact you. For example, if your email was joe@aol.com and your match name was JoeDoe, they'd change joe@aol.com to joeDoe@talkmatch.com so they could only contact you if you had a paid account.
And you had no idea if the person you were contacting was actively on the site and could respond to your messages. There were lots of stale accounts. I was off Match for a year and my profile was still there, even though I wasn't checking the account or receiving email messages.
Match.com TodayThe first big problem with Match.com is that it's VERY expensive:
The buy in to contact someone is $120. So keep this in mind as we go through how the whole thing works. They're not even trying to give you a deal or a "Trial"; the cost for 6 months is about the same as 3 months.
First is searching. You basically can't use the search feature without paying.
Of 1480 profiles, I can only view 6 of them. You can only filter by locaion and age; so you could finagle the locations and ages to see more, but it would take a lot of tome to do so. You can's use search before you pay.
They have a discover feature where you can see more profile pitcuers that is similar to Meet Me on Plenty of Fish (which Match Also owns).
Looking for a 6'8 blonde? I think that's a mistake.
They only show you a certain number of profile per day (Maybe 100). On my first day I found 2 people that I might like to see more about. On the 2nd day 2 more. You can see their photos and limited information, but you can't see their full profiles. If it was just about looks I could graze the mall.
So someone liked my profile. I can't see ANY information about them. I'm supposed to pay $120 to find out who it is? After day 1 I had 14 views and 10 likes; I must be pretty intereesting, eh? Problem is I can't tell how hideous they are, or if they're all 6'8" tall. So why would I pay just to see if one of them is appealing to me? Also, how do I know if the people who liked my profile have paid? So I could pay $120, contact one of these people, and they'll never know because they haven't paid and can only see blurred pictures also.
Conclusion
Match.com has been doing this for decaded, and I've been roped in before. I know too much about how it works. You join, you contact someone who supposedly liked you, and then you never hear from them. This is how they operation, and I'm not falling for it again.Hinge

Hinge, Bumble and Tinder
It's important to note here that Hinge, Tinder and Bumble are all similar type apps. They are designed to minimuze your changes of meeting someone substantial. They present 1 profile at a time, which you can either "like" or discard. You can only "match" with someone if they also "like" you. So you have seconds to decide if you like someone or not, and if you dismiss them, they are gone forever. There are no "maybes" on these apps.If you are not a paying member, you only get a certain number of "likes" per day. So you can't just like your maybes to see what happens, and you don't want to use up your likes on a maybe. If you are a paying member and you like everyone possibly of interest, then you have so many of them that it dilutes your chances of finding a real match. And attractive women get SO MANY likes they they can't possibly chat will all of there matches. I've had matches where you contact the person and she doesn't even remember liking me. If you pay, you're just liking everyone you find attractive, and you have no substantive connection to the people you match with.
Hinge
Hinge is also a Match Group product, and it's the modern replacement for match that is only available on cell phones. It's modeled after Tinder; in that you can't search for profiles, save favorites or do anything that you may want to do on a dating app. The good think about Hinge is that you can use it for free, particularly if you're a male.Hinge is where women go to look for men to take them to Europee. It's a delusion that they're not
Luxury excorts are cheaper; and also a lot hotter.
Tinder
Bumble
FlirtForDate.com
FlirtForDate.com is a completely fake site with fake profile and AI bots which pummel you with messages. The searches say "within 25 Miles" but the profiles have no location on them. Several of the bots asked me where I lived; I answered different locations and they always said something similar to "me too".To add insult to injury, the site is ridiculously expensive to do nothing. I was offered 10 tokens for $4.50 so I thought i'd see what happens. First, it costs the entire 10 tokens to continue 1 conversation. So I figured I't dot chat for a while
Females can create profiles and contact men but you can't contact the real women back. I send my male profile a message from the female profile and everything looked normal, but the message didn't show up on the male profile. A "like" did show up, but when I clicked on the female profile it said the page didn't exist. I went through a bunch of male profiles on search and all of them has a "last seen" of over a year ago; and my male profile didn't show up.
Sites like FlirtForDate.com are just flat-out scams. They don't even let real people contact each other.
MatureNextDoor.comMatureNextDorr.com is a completely fake web site. There is no way for women to join, which pretty much confirms that all of the female profiles are fake. The site is run out of the Netherlands. All of the profiles I looked at had exactly 2 pictures. None with 1. None with 3.
There's really no point in reviewing sites that have no real female profiles.
TopLocalSingles.com
Red Flags GaloreTopLocalSingles.com combines the annoyances of so many other modern dating sites. For the site to have any value, you have to pay the 412.95, which allows. you to see users "other" photos, who viewed you and to send 5 messages. Of course you'll need to use message just to find out if someone lives near you. Then, you can guy 5 more messages at $1.49 a clue. You easily blow through $30 without finding 1 person who lives near you.
You can only send 5 Messages for $12.95
Small Photos
You can only see the Main Photo without Paying
No Search by Location or Distance Search
You hav no idea if profiles shown are actually "Local"
Clunky Desktop Navigation
They don't required that you put a picture of you on the main photo, so nearly 1/2 of the profile you can't see what the person looksl like.
There's no telling if the profiles are real, so they may just rope you into endless chat sessions at 30 cents per message
Many of the profiles are like this: No photo of a person, no location and no info. Plus they're "In a relationship". This profile is just wasting your time and filling space.
Next I pulled up a profile with a person's photo.
1 photo, an About Me you might find in a fortune cookie, and looky here, she's MARRIED. Probably not local and not single. Weird name for a site.
I finally found someone who is "Single", but no location. Note that hiding your location is optional and not the default. This person is wishing for winter nights using snowflake emojis; what are the chances they live in Las Vegas? And why would someone spending money to meet someone not show their location? They only show the City; now your home address.
Too many red flags on this site to even spend a dime. After browsing about 25 profiles there is no indication at all that there is 1 single person in Las Vegas on this site.
I also created a female profile and tried to find the male profile I created, with a very narrow age search, and the profile wasn't displayed. I also couldn't find the female profile from the male account.
So 2 profiles from the same city can't find each other in a search. This tells me the site is 100% fake
WannaHookUp.com
This is a completely fake site. Proof of this is that the same profiles appear in different locations. I create an account in Las Vegas and one in New York City. I recognized many of the photos. The profiles have the same name, but different locations.Other indications of fakeness:
I create a famale profile on the Las Vegas site with a photo of a woman who was more attractive than any other on the site. I also included a "sexy" photo that was sure to draw interest. After 2 days, the profile has 0 visitors.
The reason is that the female profile doesn't appear in searches. I searched for all profiles for 38yo (the age of the female profile I created), and she's not there. I could, however see the male profile from the female account; I favorited the male profile, but the visit or favorite did not appear on the male account.
As is the case with many of these fake sex dating sites, the female side isn't real. And if you can't meet real females, then you're just wasting your time and your money.
POF
POF is real, but I've always hated it. POF dictates who you can date and what you should care about. For example, you can't see profile more than 10 years younger than you. So if you're 50, no dating of a 38yo is allowed.Online dating sites have been ripping us off for decades; even mainstream dating sites masked email addresses and phone numbers; so even paying members who thought they were giving out their contact info weren't. You wonder if members are active or if they could read their messages. More recently, there are some sites that don't even try to be real; they are ruthlessly deceiving us and stealing our money.
Some rules of thumb; if beautiful women are contacting you right and left, the site is probably fake and run by bots.
How We Review
We create profiles with a variety of types of profiles and see how the results vary. If truly hot guys and old ugly men get the same enthusiastic interest; we know the sites are fake. If we get likes and contacts on a profile with n o pictures; we know the site is fake. If the women will continue to chat endlessly with you no matter how rude we are, we know the site is fake.By "fake" we mean that the profiles are not real people who are looking to meet someone like you and me. Many of these platforms are run by chat bot AIs, or people who are hired to chat using profiles of models who have sold their photos to the site owners.
Friends with Benfiits: FAKE
This site is filled with 20 year old pictuers; bad quality, selfies with the iPhone 1. Just ridiculous. Every single person I looked at contacted me withing 1/2 a day. The fakest of the fake. The Lucky Date dot com
The Lucky Date is the classic Ukraniian fake dating site with 100s of airbrushed and enhanced photos. While *some* of the women appear to be real, it's also clear that it's not always (if ever) the person in the photos. For example, if we create a new account with the same photos and info and contact someone we chatted with the day before, they'll deny they've ever chatted with you before.Almost all of the girls are Ukrainian with a few Polish and Chinese girls mixed in. All of the
The Women's Portal is fakeWe tried creating a profile for a girl; we thought it was weird that there don't seem to be any girls with regular, non "model" photos. It appears the woman's portal is a black hole.
getonce.com aka udates.io
There's no more despicable bad actor than getonce.com, previously and also known as. udates.io. Almost all of the profiles are fake, and the profiles of the actual real people don't show up in. searches. It's so ridiculous that I wonder how they can host it in the US.I found this site when I was living in Florida. I rarely spend money, but these sites provide some level of entertainment. I'm pretty savvy about these kind of sites, so I'm skeptical by default. The first thing I noticed is that there are way too many pretty girls for a regular dating site. When 25% of the girls are thin and pretty you don't have a real sample of our society. But more suspicious than that was they all seemed to like me. No matter what picture I put up; old man, hot model, they liked me. That's not real life. Another tell is the preponderance if European people, particularly Russian and Ukrainian. These sites are run by these places.
The next time I noticed is that as soon as I looked at a profile the person would view my profile and then start a conversation. "Looks don't matter". "Would you like to get to know me". Canned responses. This is not how real people communicate. There are also a LOT more women than men on the site, shich isn't how things work in the real world. Too many Euro women for a Las Vegas dating site.
I never spend money on these sites; they give you free tokens to try it out and it's easy enough to just create a new account. You can test the bots by asking multiple questions in 1 message. They can't handle more than one. They also can't answer specific questions. "What's your favorite restaurant in Las Vegas?" Of fool them with a fake landmarks. "Have you been to the Suez Canal yet", and they'll answer "No, but I really want to go". It's ridiculous.
When I decided to move to Vegas I create an account in Vegas and I recognized some of the girls from the Florida location. A bit of sleuthing and it was clear the site is a complete scam.
To Illustrate how fake the site is, I created 2 accounts: 1 in Vegas and .1 in New York. The trick here is that you can only search local profiles, and you can't change your location. You also can't select a remote location; It sets your location based on your IP Address. I had to use a proxy server to create the NY Account.
I put some photos of a random hot girl as I wanted to see if there were any real guys on the site. I was sure to get some interest. But I soon hound out that regular people don't even get complete public profiles.
The profile on the left is the full profile I created, and the one on the right is the public view. This is after weeks on the system, so it's not a matter of approval. This was the case with every profile I tested.
The profile also doesnt show up in a public search. So if I create another New York account and search for women 30 yo, this profile doesn't show up. I tried this with 3 or 4 profiles and none of them ever showed up in a search.
Which explains why I didn't get 1 message from a real person on this account. On traditional sites, create a profile with an average looking female and her mailbox will be full in a day. Here, just a bunch of bots.
And how did I know that the profiles were fake? I simply pasted the profile from NY into the Las Vegas site and as you can see, Dominic has identical profiles in Las Vegas and New York.
No need to have 1000s of fake profiles, just create a couple 100 and regenerate them with different locations and you have global coverage for your product.
I checked one after another and every one of the pretty girls were fake profiles.
They take their trickery to a new level as they have lots of not so good looking profiles also.
Even the plain overweight girls are fake.
I then created another account inLas Vegas for a 35yo male. I then tried to search for this profile from the female account: Search "Female seeking Male, 35yo - 35yo. It wasn't there. Not the day I created it or a week later.
So not only are you being scammed by the fake accounts, you can't even see the real people who might wanter onto the site.
