The Rio has been renovated and reopened on Dec 22, 2024. Be aware that only 1 tower is renovated, and word is that the other tower is really bad. Online reviews suggest that they overbook the new tower and you may end up in the "bad' tower.

You can book a room during the week for under $10 and you don't have to pay the $50 resort fee until you check in. So if they try to stick you in the old tower you may just want to go somewhere else. The 1 star reviews are pervasive.
