Delmonico Steakhouse

Critic's Review

Steakhouse supposedly owned by Emerill Lagasse; you'd never know it from the quality of the food here.

Located on "Restaurant Row" between the Venetian and Palazzo, Delmonico is a handsome, white tablecloth restaurant with a separate bar area.

The dining room is to the right as you enter.

On the left, the bar.

I went by at about 9pm and got a seat.

Bread here is in the form of a popover. No extra charge.

I wasn't getting a steak; I wanted to try the Gumbo. With Emeril's name associated with the restaurant, I expected something really special.

This is what I got.

This is lowest common denominator Gumbo with too much rice, no vegetables and old tasting sausage.

Highly disappointing.

This was one of the first restaurants I ate at in Las Vegas; I soon learned that the celebrity chef's names are only on the restaurants for show; it's not like they're in the kitchen. No chance Emeril would approve of this, so they don't even seem to monitor the restaurant to assure that they are up to their standards.
