Critic's Review
One every 2 months or so I get in the mood for an Italian sub; I'd planned on using the $2 off coupon I got from my last visit, but the coupons are only good for 30 days. I solved this problem by signing up again for their email list, which gave me another $2 discount.Same as my last visit except I went for the 8" "small" today.
For some reason I thought this location was in the Lowe's shopping center on Eastern, but it's actually on Warm Springs at the Eastern intersection. My 2015 GPS didn't have this location so I had to wing it; I didn't feel like setting up my Garmin.
I still got here 5 minutes early and the sandwich was ready.
I stopped off in Albertson's next door before heading home; no urgency with a cold sandwich, although with you order oil and vinegar it can make the bread soggy. I probably should just add this myself when I get home.
The sandwiches are well wrapped and it looked like a pretty tight wrap.
opening it up everything looked fresh. I always order these without lettuce as it just doesnt seem to fit.
If you read my last Capriottie's review you'll know they don't have banana peppers so I bought some to keep in the fridge. They are necessary for me to add crunch to an Italian sub.
I like my pickles better than the ones they use here, although they're not bad. I put a couple of extra pickles on as well. The beauty of banana peppers and pickles is that they add flavor with 0 calories.
I liked this sandwich; I'm not sure it would be worth $10 at the normal price, but it scores above average in execution and flavor.
